Oak beams, thick stone walls, an original bread oven and quarry tiles retain much of the character of the original building, whilst every modern convenience is provided to make guests comfortable, in all seasons. Bigger than the average holiday cottage Trowley Farmhouse is perfect for family gatherings, get-togethers and as a rural retreat. It has been recently redecorated with improved facilities.

Ground Floor:
The house is entered by a wide entrance porch with stone benches, ideal for walking boots, coats, wet dogs, storing dry wood etc. Oak beams, thick stone walls and an original bread oven in the large farmhouse kitchen retain much of the character of the original building. This spacious kitchen/dining contains a long dining table and chairs, sofa and chairs, featured bread oven, quarry tile floor in part and old flagstones in others. The very well equipped kitchen area houses a fridge, microwave, electric ceramic hob and oven, washing machine, dishwasher and Welsh dresser with blue plates.

A spacious comfortable sitting room has sofas, chairs, colour TV and a large woodburner. There is also a further dining room/playroom with table, chairs and an open fire, equipped with children's games, books, toys and a piano. A storeroom contains a freezer and ironing facilities. There is a shower room with WC, shower and hand basin. The oak panelled hall leads up to the traditional wooden stairs.

First Floor:
Most attractive quaint bathroom with bath, hand basin and WC (the ceiling is too low for a shower). There are 3 twin bedded rooms. One large bedroom with double bed and single bed, and a large family room with a double bed, one single and one 2'6" single bed. This room also has a washbasin. Two ensuite shower rooms have been recently added.

There is an enclosed gravel area at the rear of the house and a large private garden and lawn at the front and side. There is garden furniture and a barbecue. Ample parking space for 5 or more cars, and an outside building for bicycles in the summer, and sledges in the winter!

Local area

A must for nature lovers, is the Rhosgoch Bog conservation area, a birdwatchers' paradise, but is only to be accessed with a pass or guide. On the 'Roundabout' on the Begwyns, on a clear day there are absolutely spectacular views of seven counties.
