Bakery Cottages are ideally placed for enjoying the many attractions of this wonderful rural area and for the facilities of the town. A day spent energetically in the mountains can be concluded by a pleasant stroll to a nearby pub or restaurant or an evening barbecue. Within walking distance are the beautiful Mawddach estuary and Cader Idris.
For the energetic there is a host of local activities including horse riding, golf, canoeing, the Coed y Brenin Mountain Biking Centre, climbing, walking and sailing. For more sedate pastimes an equally wide choice is available from lovely beaches, craft centres and museums to wildlife watching and steam railways.
Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms
Hafod Cottage, the smaller cottage, is suitable for a family or a couple. It is situated at the the edge of town but within walking distance of the town centre.
The two bedrooms comprise a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. There is a dining room with TV and video, a cosy lounge with a wood burning stove, a well equipped kitchen and modern bathroom.
Outside, Hafod has a courtyard garden with barbecue.
Sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms
Dolwar Cottage,was formerly the village forge and it retains the original barn door fwhere the horses entered to be shod. It also still has many of its Georgian features and is the larger of the two cottages.
It sleeps six in two double bedrooms and a bunk bedroom, with two full size bunk beds.
There is a fully equipped fitted kitchen, cosy beamed sitting room and dining room.
Gas central heating, electricity and bedding are all included in the rental.
Outside there is off road parking for several cars and Dolwar has a lovely garden with a courtyard and barbecue area.
Bakery Cottages are two charming old stone and slate cottages, situated separately, in quiet streets on the edge of Cader Idris mountain. Both are within the town, just two minutes walk from good local amenities with a wealth of indoor and outdoor activities nearby.
