attractive, eco-friendly, luxury holiday cottages on a farm in mid
Wales. Furnished to a very high standard with a hot tub and steam sauna
these luxury holiday cabins make a perfect get away for couples and
families to enjoy a country break. The quiet setting and comfortable
accommodation provide a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of
daily life, deep in the glorious Welsh countryside.
Surrounded by Welsh farmland these three log houses each sleep 6-8 comfortably. Built from sustainable sourced European yellow pine, and carbon neutral, with the majority of work done by hand, each holiday lodge is unique. Their eco friendly commitment begins with carefully sourced timber, cut during the winter time, and extends through every facet of the design, furnishing, under-floor heating, water source – spring water via a bore hole – and solar water heating system. Dwr Y Felin Log Cabins have been sited to take full advantage of the sunlight.
Interior
Each of the three holiday lodges has a beautiful open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. Each fully fitted kitchen includes a dishwasher plus washing machine. A double en-suite bedroom and a twin bedroom are also downstairs. Upstairs is the king-size master en-suite bedroom and a mezzanine level lounge area with sofa bed. Each cabin has a steam sauna shower, 2 LCD flat screen TVs and a DVD player.
Linen and towels included (except hot tub towels). Cots
and highchairs are available upon request at time of booking. Sorry - No
Pets Allowed. |

An upstairs veranda provides a seating area with woodland views. A Hot tub sits on the patio where there is also seating and a barbecue. Ample parking for 2 vehicles at each lodge. Surrounding each log cabin is a carefully planted, naturalistic landscaped area. |

Carno, Powys, is the closest town on the main A470 north south road through the region. The attractive market town of Llanidloes is worth a visit, as is Newtown which straddles the River Severn surrounded by the rolling hills of the Welsh Marches. It boasts some attractive black and white timbered buildings offering glimpses of its successful past as a centre for wool and fine barley production and breweries. It has a range of good shops, pleasant riverside walks and a variety of pubs and cafes. This region of Mid Wales is great for walking, hiking, mountain biking, cycling and fishing. Alternate activities nearby include golf, shooting and rally driving at the Higgins Rally School, Carno.
