Gerynant is a delightful detached 19th century character stone self catering cottage, in its own private gardens, nestling in a hamlet, 2 miles from New Quay Dyfed. Walking distance to the beach it is a perfect base for a seaside country holiday.

Cardigan Holiday cottages: A Rural Self catering Cottage near New Quay/Aberaeron West Wales Dyfed

Interior
With charming character features this cottage feels welcoming and comfortable. Nicely laid out to a traditional design the living rooms ar all on the ground floor and offer plenty of space for 7 guests.

The character lounge features wood floors, exposed stonework and a wood-burning stove in a wood-surround fireplace. In addition this room has comfortable seating, rugs, a TV, VCR and DVD player.

The dining room retains original oak beams and seats seven while the good sized kitchen is a lovely, well lit space with windows to two aspects. It houses a full range of high quality, new appliances, with plenty of work space for food preparation and a full compement of crockery, cutlery etc.

There is a convenient downstairs cloakroom and a verandah leading to well-stocked gardens.

Upstairs
On the upper storey are the three bedrooms. All are nicely furnished in keeping with the period of the cottage.

The Master bedroom is a light airy room with a double bed.

A second double bedroom leads into the third bedroom which contains three single beds and is perfect for children.

The bathroom has a brand new white suite.

All fuel and bed linen are included in the price. Pets are welcome.

Outside
The well-stocked private garden is ideal for relaxed outdoor dining. Supervision is required in the garden for small children as there is a brook at the end and a pond in the corner. There is parking space.

Local area
Gerynant is in an unspoilt location great for surfers, walkers and children, being just a short walk from the beach in one direction or from the village pub in another. The cottage is 2 miles form the popular seaside town of New Quay and 4 miles from Llangrannog. Situated just a few miles north of the Pembrokeshire National Park walkers can explore the local coast and walk the famous Pembrokeshire coastline.

New Quay remains one of the favourite holiday destinations of thousands of people from Wales each year. For many families, taking holidays at New Quay is a tradition stretching back for generations. New Quay's Cardigan Bay Watersports Centre offers tuition in a wide range of maritime leisure and recreation pursuits including sailing, kayaking, wind surfing and power boating.

Take a boat trip out into Ceredigion's Bay from New Quay, look out for dolphins, seals and other rare animals and birds that inhabit the Bay's sheltering waters.

The popular town of Cardigan is only a short drive away. Here visitors will find a market, castle, iron Age Fort, a Coastal Park, galleries, tea rooms, a Shire Horse Farm and a good range of shops and facilities. Cardigan Bay offers a full range of water related activities including boating, surfing, fishing, canoeing and sailing. There are long stretches of sandy beach and sheltered rocky coves.
