Local area

With the seaside at Ceibwr Bay just 1.5 miles distant this cottage is also equidistant (approximately 3miles) from two fabulous sandy beaches: Poppit Sands and Newport Beach.  It is midway between the bustling market town of Cardigan with it's variety of shops, restaurants, theatre and bars and the picturesque estuary village of Newport with art galleries, pubs and shops, both 5 miles.

With numerous local attractions and activities including Own a Pony Day, horse riding, golf, walking, watersports, boating, fishing, etc all within 5 miles.  Attractions include art galleries, craft trails, outdoor and indoor theatre productions.  Of historical interest are the nearby stone-age fort of Castel Henllys, Pentre Ifan ancient burial chamber, Kilgerran and Cardigan Castles and St. Dogmaels Abbey.

For nature-lovers the nearby cliffs and coves harbour a huge variety of rare and delightful wildlife, with seals, porpoises, dolphins, basking sharks and even whales and turtles seen from cliffs locally. A multitude of sea/estuary birds are to be spotted locally.  The rare red kite is often seen circling above Hafod Grove as well as numerous badgers, foxes and rabbits scampering about.

Ideal for touring the three counties of Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion (Cardiganshire) and Carmarthenshire there are so many nice little restaurants and tea rooms to stop off and sample.

There is so much to do and see that it may be a good idea to just sit and relax with a good book in the garden or conservatory.
